At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), we’re seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child First Clinician to join our community-based team in Carteret, NC, for this full time opportunity. As a valued member of our collaborative and supportive team, we work together to transform the lives of inspaniduals by providing a comprehensive range of services that treat the whole person and empower patients to find their way forward.
What You’ll Do:
The Child First Clinician pairs with a Family Resource Partner to engage families who are referred to the Child First home-based intervention team. Child First’s primary goal is to strengthen the child-caregiver relationship so that it serves both as a protective buffer to unavoidable stress and directly facilitates the child’s emotional, language, and cognitive growth. Other critical ways the clinician carry's out the Child First mission:
Provide home-based interventions with young children and their caregivers using relational, dyadic psychotherapy and other modalities
Provide mental health developmental assessments and consultations within early care and education settings and to other early childhood providers
Engage with the Child First family team in the collaborative family assessment process (i.e., gather information from interviews, observations of interactions and play, reviewed records, collateral sources, and standardized measures).

What We’re Looking For:
To join our mission on the Child First team we are seeking clinicians that are vested in being the change for children and families that have experienced trauma and need a helping hand. We also require:
-Full or provisional license as an LCSW (A), LPC/LCMHC (A) or LMFT (A) licensed in North Carolina required.
-Minimum 3 years’ experience working psychotherapeutically with culturally spanerse children and families, including parent-child therapeutic work and play therapy with very young children (0-5 years).
-Past CPP training is highly valued.
-Valid driver's license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
