Job Description
Bring your expertise to a role where every scan makes a difference. As a Cardiac Sonographer at Grady, you’ll be a vital part of our heart care team, performing high-quality echocardiographic procedures for adult patients and supporting cardiologists in a variety of advanced cardiac studies. You’ll operate state-of-the-art equipment, ensure accuracy in every image, and provide clear, detailed reports that directly impact patient outcomes. This role combines hands-on patient care with cutting-edge imaging, giving you the opportunity to grow your skills while making a real impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound procedures, including M-mode, two-dimensional, and Doppler studies (pulsed wave, continuous wave, and color flow).

Assist cardiologists in performing specialized exams such as stress, transesophageal, intraoperative, contrast echocardiography, and echo-guided procedures.

Evaluate echocardiograms for technical quality and generate accurate summary reports.

Maintain and operate imaging equipment in safe, optimal condition.

Deliver compassionate patient care, ensuring comfort and safety throughout each procedure.

Uphold all Joint Commission and departmental standards of practice.

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (CCI or RDMS) with at least 1 year of cardiac echosonography experience.

Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

Demonstrated proficiency in M-mode, two-dimensional, and Doppler echocardiographic diagnostic procedures.

Familiarity with stress, transesophageal, intraoperative, contrast echocardiography, and echo-guided procedures.
